The Public Utility Commission of Texas allows certain customers to be designated as Critical Load Public Safety or Critical Load Industrial (Non-Residential).

Entergy Texas Inc. maintains a list of these Critical Service customers. This registry helps us prioritize service during controlled outages and restoration.

• Critical Service customers include, but are not limited to:
• Hospitals
• Police stations
• Fire stations
• Critical water or wastewater facilities
• Confinement facilities operated by or under contract with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice

It is important to know that inclusion in this registry does not guarantee uninterrupted service, protect an account from any pending collection action or stop a non-pay cutoff. It is vital that you have a plan for alternative power sources or a safe relocation site in case of an outage.
