Home Energy Efficiency Upgrade Program
Reduce your energy costs through home energy efficiency services
Key upgrades that deliver real savings include:
- Air infiltration: Sealing outside air into a home’s doors and windows to reduce heat transfer.
- Ceiling insulation: Adding or upgrading insulation in the attic to better regulate indoor temperatures.
- Duct efficiency: Sealing air leaks in the home’s ductwork to improve HVAC efficiency.
How does it work?
To receive these energy efficiency services, follow these simple steps:
- Find and schedule an appointment with a participating contractor: Browse our list of Entergy Texas-approved contractors in your area to schedule an appointment. Contractor’s availability varies by location.
- Get a free home energy audit: The contractor will visit your home to determine eligibility and offer recommended improvements. They’ll also evaluate your HVAC ductwork and air conditioning system if you have central HVAC.
- Review recommendations and decide: If improvements can be made to your home, the contractor will explain which upgrades qualify for program funding. There are no upfront costs to you for approved improvements.
- Optional add-ons available: Some contractors offer services beyond this program at an additional cost to you. These may include solar screens, water saving devices or other energy saving tools.
* Homes that have broken windows, holes in walls or other major leakage problems will not qualify for upgrades.
* Homes that have had energy efficiency upgrades performed by licensed Entergy Texas contractors in the last eight years may not qualify.
* Homes with natural gas heating may require some out-of-pocket costs from the customer.
* If a home has a combination of central HVAC and window units, only the portions with central HVAC can be serviced under the program.
