David Borde

David Borde is president and CEO of Entergy Texas, an electric utility that serves approximately 538,000 customers in 27 counties. He is responsible for the company’s safe and reliable service, financial performance, customer service, regulatory and public affairs, resource planning, economic development programs, and charitable contributions.

Before assuming president and CEO in October 2026, Borde served as vice president, utility strategy and regulatory initiatives for Entergy Corporation, where he has supported Entergy’s operating companies in executing the company’s overall customer-centric strategy by supporting regulatory and tariff filings and providing ongoing strategic and regulatory counsel. His regulatory focus has allowed the organization to keep pace with evolving customer needs and expectations.

Borde previously served in successive leadership positions for Entergy in corporate development and finance. He served as vice president of investor relations, where he was responsible for engagement with the company’s owners and financial community. He also served as director of utility finance business partners. He joined Entergy in 2009 as director of corporate development based in Texas.

Prior to joining Entergy, he worked in the investment banking division of Citigroup USA and as a lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.

Borde earned a law degree from Duke University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in business from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
